Every $15 bouquet includes the following: One dozen roses (in your choice of color), a florist's card telling the recipient that your purchase benefited the Capitol Theatre, optional free delivery by Capitol Theatre staff. Roses will be available for pick up or delivery on April 21st, 2010 - perfect for Administrative Assistant's Day! All proceeds support the continued operation of Rome's last remaining historic theatre. ORDER BY by April 5th, 2010. CINEFEST 35mm Screenings
March 27 @ 9am
Presented by the Syracuse Cinephile Society. This year's 35mm
screenings of silent & early talking films will be held at the Capitol.
Guest organists will be Dr. Philip C. Carli and Ben Model. Cinefest and Syracuse Cinephile are dedicated to the history, preservation and
enjoyment of vintage motion pictures and related subjects. Cinefest features films from the vaults of the world's greatest libraries and obsure specialties from private collections. Show ends at about 4pm. Visit the website or telephone 315-409-4625 for schedule and additional information.

Etienne has over ten years of professional performing experience. His love and passion for the art of magic has taken him all over the globe, performing nationally in entertainment hot spots across the US and internationally in Ireland, Wales, Australia, and at the world-famous magic circle in London, England. Etienne's performances have won him several prestigious awards, including CNY Magician of the Year from the International Brotherhood of Magicians, Ring 101, and Stage Magic Champion from the Magicians' Alliance of Eastern States.

Featuring the original 1915 musical score by Joseph Carl Breil arranged and performed by Avery Tunningley at the Capitol Grand Organ. Presented in a restored, tinted and toned 35mm print from Musuem of Modern Art. The One and Only Tommy Dorsey Orchestra conducted by big band legend Buddy Morrow
Sunday, May 2 @ 6pm Doors will open at 4:45 pm
The 15-piece band (plus vocalists) will be playing the original arrangements that made the Dorsey Orchestra one of the most popular of the swing era. Heard will be such tunes as "I'm Getting Sentimental Over You," "Marie," "Opus No. 1," and "Yes, Indeed." The band's repertoire embraces not only the classics of the original Dorsey Orchestra, but also the spectrum of popular music from Dixieland, rhythm and blues and intricate ballads to progressive jazz and contemporary tunes. Its library also has a nostalgic representation of those familiar tunes of the 40's so irreplaceable to the many who loved and still remember Big Bands. The Tommy Dorsey Orchestra led by Buddy Morrow represents explosive and swinging Big Band entertainment at its best!
