The Rome Capitol Theatre is once again conducting their spring scrap metal drive. They are accepting many kinds of scrap metal, including bicycles and automobiles. Proceeds will be used for the maintenance fund for the 90-year-old Capitol Theatre.
The theatre collects steel, aluminum, copper, brass, wire, etc. by appointment. Bicycles can be dropped off in the theater lobby any time during regular business hours. Motor vehicle donations, running or not, in any condition, are especially welcome, and the vehicles are hauled away for free.
Persons wishing to make an appointment to drop off scrap metal or to have a vehicle picked up should call Joe Borasky @ 315-623-7692. This spring’s scrap drive runs now through the end of June. Vehicle donations are welcome year round. This drive raises thousands of dollars annually for theatre maintenance, and staff members and the board of directors of the Capitol Arts Complex would like the public to know that their donations are greatly appreciated.
