Cartoon Madness is back! The Capitol’s annual Cartoon Madness show, featuring a
dozen color cartoons in the Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies series, will return February
15-18. This year’s theme, Twibute to Tweety, with five cartoons starring the diminutive
Mr. Bird made between 1942 (his first!) and 1961, plus other animated shorts with Bugs,
Daffy, Elmer Fudd, the Road Runner, and the whole gang. Shows will take place Monday
through Saturday at 12:30 and 3:00 pm, with extra evening shows [fill in dates and
times].
As the historic Capitol Theatre is currently undergoing an extensive restoration that
will be completed in the spring, this year’s edition of Cartoon Madness will take place at
the Cinema Capitol, right next door. Seating is limited, so it’s recommended that tickets
are purchased in advance.
