Cinema Capitol will present the action-drama DESTROYER from Friday, April 19-Thursday, April 25.
DESTROYER follows the moral and existential odyssey of Los Angeles detective Erin Bell (Nicole Kidman) who, as a young cop, was placed undercover with a gang in the California desert with tragic results. When the leader of that gang re-emerges many years later, she must work her way back through the remaining members and into her own history with them to finally reckon with the demons that destroyed her past. The movie also stars Toby Kebbell, Sebastian Stan, Tatiana Maslany, and Bradley Whitford.
THE GUARDIAN writes “I have to say I found Kidman’s performance superb: smart, committed, utterly absorbing.” The TORONTO STAR writes “An astonishing and haunting performance by Nicole Kidman… demonstrates she is the peak of her skills as an actor.”
DESTROYER runs 123 minutes and is rated R (for language throughout, violence, some sexual content and brief drug use). Admission is $8 for adults, $7 for students and military, and $6 for Capitol Friends.
