Cinema Capitol (230 W. Dominick St.) will present the comedy EXTRA ORDINARY from March 13-19.

Rose (Maeve Higgins), a sweet, small town driving instructor, is gifted with supernatural abilities. She has a love-hate relationship with her abilities and tries to ignore the constant small-time spiritual requests from locals to haunt trash cans, tractors, children’s bikes, and more. Yet when help is requested by a teenager whose father is being haunted by his deceased nagging wife, she is very tempted to fulfill the request. Also starring in the cast are Will Forte, Claudia O’Doherty, Barry Ward, and Jamie Beamish.

EXTRA ORDINARY was awarded “Best Irish Feature Film” at the GALWAY FILM FLEADH and at the DUBLIN FILM CRITICS CIRCLE AWARDS. The movie has a 100 percent rating on ROTTEN TOMATOES.

THE AV CLUB writes “its unusual warmth lingers in the air like a friendly ghost.” VARIETY writes that the movie is “Consistently funny in a pleasingly off-kilter way.”

EXTRA ORDINARY runs 93 minutes and is rated R. Admission is $8.00 for adults; $7.00 for students and military; and $6.00 for Capitol Friends.

EXTRA ORDINARY will play each day from Friday, March 13 through Thursday, March 19. Show times are Friday and Saturday at 4:15 and 7:15, Sunday at 1:15 and 4:15, and Monday-Thursday at 7:15.

Tickets are available at the door and in advance from the Capitol Box Office.
