On Tuesday, November 27, 2018, Giving Tuesday, the lights went up, the cameras whirred and the music played at Copper City Brewing Company as stories of community involvement were shared during the Capitol Arts Complex presentation “Lights • Cameras • Music™. Rome Marketing Coordinator Makenzi conducted interviews throughout the night along with Rick Weltz, WKAL News Director and Nick Ross, WKAL on air personality and better known as half of the Blues Brothers of Central New York, while Pocket Change performed and supplied the music on this snow filled night.

Look for those interviews as we share them throughout this Holiday Season. The spirit of Giving Tuesday carries for more than just one day…and should extend beyond this season of giving……

This night night was a success with the help of many people behind the scenes including: Tom Wszalek who directed the interview station with assistance from Al Bangs and John Belius, and camera crew members Rick Maciag (of Rick’s Roaming BBQ) and Nelson Rudiak (Midnite Mike and the Bent Blinds sax player). Lights for the band were supplied by Joe Rizzoto (Loco Brothers bassist).

I hope that’s everyone…
