Cinema Capitol will present the drama THE HUMMINGBIRD PROJECT from Friday, April 5-Thursday, April 11.

In THE HUMMINGBORD PROJECT, director Kim Nguyen exposes the ruthless edge of our increasingly digital world. Cousins Vincent (Jesse Eisenberg) and Anton (Alexander Skarsgård) are players in the high-stakes game of High Frequency Trading, where winning is measured in milliseconds. Their dream? To build a fiber-optic cable straight between Kansas and New Jersey, making them millions. Anton is the brains, Vincent is the hustler, and together they push each other and everyone around them to breaking point on their quixotic adventure. No matter what the cost, Vincent and Anton are determined to cut through America. The movie also stars Salma Hayek, Michael Mando, and Sarah Goldberg.

The DETROIT NEWS writes that the movie is “An invigorating snapshot of greed that examines how far competitors will go to gain even the slightest fraction of an edge over their rivals in the stock market.” The LOS ANGELES TIMES describes the movie as “A smartly entertaining and unexpectedly human film.”

THE HUMMINGBIRD PROJECT runs 111 minutes and is rated R (for language throughout).
