For detailed program schedule follow the link at the Capitolfest 17 link on the top menu bar or the icon on th homepage.
Capitolfest is a celebration of classic films of the silent and early talkie eras. All movies are shown in the Capitol Theatre, a 1928 movie palace, and the silent films on the bill feature live accompaniment on the Capitol’s original installation Moller theater organ.
The aim of Capitolfest is to re-create the experience of seeing these 80-110 year-old films when they were new for our audience members.
The program will be comprised of approximately 16 features and a similar number of short subjects which will be screened over the course of the three-day festival. Titles will be announced starting in December 2018.
Capitolfest 17 tribute stars will be Frances Dee and Joel McCrea.
Tickets to the entire festival passes, two day passes, single day passes, and single session passes (each session essentially comprised of two features plus short subjects), are available for purchase at EARLY BIRD pricing until July 15!
