On Thursday, October 24, Cinema Capitol will present “Symphony of Horror Double Feature” at 7:30PM. But the fun begins at 6:30PM then the pre-movie reception kicks off!
The party features Copper City Brewing, serving their ice cold craft beer and Bloody Marys, an obvious choice of drink for the evening, Villa Verona Vineyard, who will be pouring their local wines for our guests, and our new neighbor from right down the street, Gardner’s Farm to Table Restaurant, who will be serving up dishes prepared from local farms!
The pre-movie party will also allow everyone an opportunity to meet and greet the band before the film and catch an impromptu set of music.
The first feature will be a 36 minute adaptation of the silent movie classic, and grandfather of vampire films, “Nosferatu”, released in 1922. The silent movie will be accompanied by the live soundtrack music of Jack and the Jukebox who will perform their original score during the screening.
The second feature of the evening will be “Shadow of the Vampire”, a fictional account of the making of Nosferatu. The film stars Willem DaFoe and John Malkovich, as the man portraying a vampire who, after several unexplained incidents, may actually be a vampire!
