TANYS Festival Performance Session II

The Capitol Theatre has been chosen as the venue at which the Rome Community Theater will host the 66th TANYS Festival. TANYS, which stands for the Theatre Association of New York State, will be hosting three live theater performance sessions representing the best community theater in New York State on Friday, November 21 and Saturday, November 22, in a festival that will be staged at the Rome Capitol Theatre.

Performance Session II at TANYS includes the following productions:

Lightbringers by J. Scala
Presented by Confetti Stage, Albany, NY

In search of new places to expand the domain of hell, a fiend encounters the chained Prometheus. The two discuss divine crime and punishment and the potential of hope. Chaos ensues.

TRIBECA GRILLing by William Zolla II
Presented by Hand to Mouth Players, Montrose, NY and GoJo Clan Productions, Hastings on Hudson, NY

Alan nervously joins Leah for dinner at Tribeca Grill, hoping to make a good impression when meeting her parents for the first time. As the evening unfolds, conversations challenge his confidence and reveal more than he bargained for.

Shakespeare Lives! by Mark Harvey Levine
Presented by Harlequin Productions of Cayuga Community College, Auburn, NY

Heartbroken because his love will no longer speak to him, Cashio is determined to raise Shakespeare from the dead to write a love poem for him to share with her.

The performances will be followed by a workshop with Ludus Ticketing System.

The purchase of one ticket for this performance session allows you admission to all three shows in this performance session.

Doors Open at 8:30 am with the shows beginning at 9:00 am.

Estimated performance time is 195 minutes.
