WPBS-DT, presents, Folklore and Frost: Spirits of Sylvan Beach, a feature length film that investigates the ghost stories of Sylvan Beach Amusement Park with a fun and frightening theatrical presentation. Using all local actors of all ages, this installment of Folklore & Frost takes you on a roller-coaster of a ride with twists and turns that will leave you on the edge of your seat.
Folklore & Frost: Spirits of Sylvan Beach (rated PG-13) will screen with free admission. WPBS-DT will be hosting the screening at the Capitol Theatre, Rome, NY on Wednesday, October 17th at 7pm with a Q&A following the film.

A young couple are on their first date at Sylvan Beach Amusement Park. What better way to get to know someone than a ride together on a roller coaster? Unfortunately for them, little sister is tagging along. The older sister begins to witness strange things while on her date. What secret is the younger sister hiding?
Real-life paranormal investigators, Jason and Joe, and their team of three assistants conduct an investigation at Sylvan Beach Amusement Park. Joining them is a young woman (played by a local actress) who is very interested in the paranormal activities of the park. And she has good reason …
Another local actress plays the part of a psychologist who investigates why people are interested in hunting ghosts. She’s a skeptic, and talks about other alleged hauntings in Northern New York, including ghost sightings at the Jefferson Historical Society, Burrville Cider Mill, and other places. She also discovers the secret of the young woman obsessed with the amusement park’s paranormal activities.
