The Rome Capitol Theater will be hosting its Annual Scrap Metal Drive Thursday. November 15 from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m.

Items collected will include scrap steel, aluminum, copper (including copper wire and pipes), brass, car batteries, and bottles/cans (with deposit). Bicycles and motor vehicles are especially welcome. Bicycles are not scrapped, but resold in bulk for highest-earning potential. Free pickup of Motor Vehicles can be arranged by calling Capitol Facilities Manager Joe Borasky at (315) 623-7692.

Funds raised will help maintain the historic, 90 year old, Capitol Theatre and its four building Arts Complex. Drop-off point for scrap is on Gigliotti Way behind Brenda’s Natural Foods by the old parking garage.

Bicycles can be dropped off in the Capitol Theater Lobby Monday thru Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 220 West Dominick Street through November 15th. Scrap metal and motor vehicles are processed by Rubicon Recycling.
