SummerStage Returns to Capitol Theatre for a fall concert! To commemorate the triumphant return of the Capitol’s perennial summer theater event, the SummerStage crew, led by director Peter Loftus, will present a special program paying tribute to SummerStage productions going back as far as 25 years with SummerStage Show Stoppers: An Evening of Love, Laughter, and Inspiration.

The gala show will consist of ensemble numbers, solos, and duets – all with a positive theme. The cast, numbering more than 50, will perform numbers from West Side Story, Mary Poppins, Rent, Spamalot, Hairspray, Mame, Carousel, A Chorus Line, and many others. Solos and duets will be performed by the artists who performed them in the original productions at the Capitol.

The live band will be under the direction of Bonnie Hibbard.

The evening will also include videos of past SummerStage members who are now working on the stage or screen professionally.
