Mystery Night

Mystery Night is BACK at the Capitol Theatre, featuring the detective mystery film Green for
Danger. Green for Danger, based on the novel by Christianna Brand, follows an investigator for
Scotland Yard who investigates the death of a postman on the operating table. The feature will be
preceded by the wildly bizarre 1927 short subject, There It Is!, directed by the extraordinarily
imaginative Charley Bowers.
Between the movies will be a live-on-stage murder mystery which the audience will have the change
to solve by questioning suspects during the intermission. Those coming up with the correct solution
will have the change to win prizes from local businesses.
Leonard Maltin’s Film & Video Guide gives Green for Danger their highest rating of four stars,
saying, “Tension neatly counterbalanced by droll wit of Sim as implacable Scotland Yard inspector; a
must-see classic.”
