Even though the Cinema Capitol may be closed pending repairs, the spirit of the Cinema will be very much alive as we press on with some of our best annual events that celebrate the cinema: our annual awards activities!
Start awards season right and join us for an early morning event dedicated to the announcement of the Oscar nominations on Thursday, January 23. With the Cinema temporarily closed, our friends at Superoffical (a few doors over at 216 West Dominick Street) will be opening their doors starting at 7 AM to keep this event alive, as we gather to debate all of your nomination predictions, compare them with the official Capitol predictions, and watch the nominations come in LIVE at 8:30 am. Not a morning person? Don’t worry, Superofficial will supply the coffee. So make sure to get out of bed and join us as we wake up with the stars and celebrate the cinema.
