The Rocky Horror Picture Show

Join us *one night only* at The Historic Capitol Theatre for our annual interactive presentation of the all-singing, all-dancing classic, THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW. It will cap off an evening full of fun as The Arts District hosts our Annual Haunted Hallway Vendor Fair! Come down to the block party at 3:00pm, see all the vendors and entertainment, then get your makeup and hair done ahead of time so you can join us when the doors for RHPS open at 7:00 pm with the show beginning at 8:00pm with our customary costume parade!

Since Rocky Horror is beloved for its rich history of audience participation, our screenings feature theater-appropriate “prop kits” available for purchase for $12.00. Our kits include interactive props for every major, Transylvanian-approved call-out.

To encourage the safety and enjoyment of the film by all in attendance, any bags brought into the auditorium will be subjected to a search for prohibited items.

For the uninitiated: In this cult classic, sweethearts Brad (Barry Bostwick) and Janet (Susan Sarandon), stuck with a flat tire during a storm, discover the eerie mansion of Dr. Frank-N-Furter (Tim Curry), a mad scientist of sorts. As their innocence is lost, Brad and Janet meet a houseful of wild characters, including a rocking biker (Meat Loaf) and a creepy butler (Richard O’Brien). Through elaborate dances and rock songs, Frank-N-Furter unveils his latest creation: a muscular man named “Rocky.”
