Nathan Alexander

Nathan Alexander is a 10 year old Utica NY resident. He began playing the piano at 5 years old. Keith James became his main piano instructor when Nathan turned 7. Keith emphasizes performance and has arranged opportunities for Nathan to play in front of live audiences. At 9 years old, Nathan performed Billy Joels hit song “New York State of Mind” with Liberty Devitto (Billy’s original drummer). Nathan performed the song again with “The Lord’s of 52nd Street” band (with Richie Canatta, Russell Javors, and Liberty Devitto) at the Ridgefield Playhouse in Ridgefield CT. Carrie Lazarus of Syracuse ABC affiliate WSYR featured Nathan’s musical story on her show “Extraordinary Talent”. Carrie has invited Nathan to perform in studio for her “10-year anniversary of Extraordinary Talent” show airing later this year. Bill Keeler invited Nathan to perform on his radio show “Keeler in the Morning”, and later for the annual WIBX950 Heart Radiothon. Nathan’s latest performance was playing Toto’s hit song (Hold the Line) with “Showtime-The Band” at the 2022 Utica Boilermaker post-race party in front of several thousand people. Nathan also enjoys playing violin/fiddle studying under Allyson Sklar and Nick Piccininni, as well as the saxophone with the Bradley Elementary New Hartford school band.

She has performed multiple times with The Academy shows, sang in 2 TV holiday specials, gone into modeling, doing commercials with Freeman and Foote jewelers, and have been able to sing the national anthem at multiple different occasions. Cordelia Dzuiban

Cordelia was singing before she was talking and announced at an early age that she wanted to be a performer. She took to the stage for the very first time when she was 8 years old.  Her love for musical theatre has recently grown. She spent this past summer on stage at the GlimmerGlass Opera House as “Brigitta” in the musical The Sound of Music. Cordelia dreams of performing on Broadway and studying musical theatre in NYC.—

Rebecca’s other opera roles include “Bessie” in Mahagonny Songspiel by Kurt Weill and “Claretta” in Leoncavallo’s Zaza. Rebecca has also performed diverse solo repertoire, which spans many styles, genres, time periods, and languages. Laurie & Jeni Yager

Jeni is a Summerstage veteran, having performed almost every summer at the Capitol since 2007. She also performed with her college’s acapella group, Clarkson University’s Golden Knotes, during her undergraduate work there.

Laurie is more of an amateur but equally enthusiastic about her love of music, especially the uplifting songs of the musical Wicked, the first performance she and Jeni saw together on Broadway. They especially love harmonizing together, a skill perfected over many years of “Happy Birthday” around the table with their musically talented extended family.
