TANYS Festival Performance Session I

The Capitol Theatre has been chosen as the venue at which the Rome Community Theater will host the 66th TANYS Festival. TANYS, which stands for the Theatre Association of New York State, will be hosting three live theater performance sessions representing the best community theater in New York State on Friday, November 21 and Saturday, November 22, in a festival that will be staged at the Rome Capitol Theatre.

Performance Session I at TANYS includes the following productions:

Baby Food by David Lindsay-Abaire
Presented by Limelight Productions, Mendon, NY

Baby Food is a modern comedy about an eccentric young couple who are looking for the proper godparents for their new baby. They discover however, that the couple that they have invited over for dinner are not exactly intrepid diners.

Scooby: A Dooby Musical Parody
Book by William T. Odell; Music and Lyrics by William T. Odell and Stephen D’Ambrosio
Presented by 23/62 Productions, Warwick, NY

Four young teens in a van driving somewhere they don’t know find themselves lost, solving another mystery, with a dog! A classic 60s Saturday morning cartoon reimagined in a satirical and hysterical way.

The purchase of one ticket for this performance session allows you admission to both of the shows in this performance session.

Doors Open at 6:15 pm with an opening ceremony beginning at 7:00 pm, followed by the two listed productions.

Estimated performance time is 150 minutes
